don’t count today, it only makes it more confusing. there’s too much to keep track of as it is. don’t look now, we’re being watched. okay now look and watch right back. “running out of steam” is an outdated metaphor. but only if you’re counting. and besides that, to boot, technically it is exactly what we are doing. and i’ll be damned if i didn’t make it to ten while i was watching.
